Photoshop - Selecting & Masking

THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL

Being able to select objects or areas in a photo is one of the most useful Photoshop skills to have. A selection isolates part of an image so you can work on that area without affecting the rest of the image and masking is a reversible way to hide part of a layer. In this workshop we will look at several of the many ways of making selections and masks in Photoshop and discuss the benefits, and difficulties, of each.

To do the exercises, you will need a laptop (PC or Mac) with a working copy of Photoshop, the later the version the better.
